Anoosh Salahshoor

Anoosh Salahshoor is a Toronto based lawyer with extensive experience in immigration and civil litigation, refugee and family law. Anoosh began his legal career in one of the largest immigration and refugee law firms in all of Canada. Since 2018, he has been involved in well over one thousand successful immigration and refugee applications, including complex and appellate matters. He has appeared before the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, the Federal Court of Canada, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, and the Ontario Court of Justice, and represents clients before Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officers in PRRA hearings. Anoosh has a strong record of success in difficult refugee cases and judicial review proceedings, including matters involving prior refusals and adverse credibility findings. His litigation experience also includes successfully defending and dismissing a $1.5 million civil claim on behalf of a defendant, as well as representing clients in family law matters, including contested divorce proceedings. Anoosh holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto (St. George Campus), with a double major in Political Science and Sociology, and a Juris Doctor from Thompson Rivers University in British Columbia. Outside of work, Anoosh enjoys reading, chess, and watching film-noire. Anoosh is fluent in Persian & Turkish.
